Clean room--Classification and classification of air filter efficiency in China, Europe and the United States

According to the different filtration efficiency, the air filter for clean indoors can be divided into: initial effect (rough effect), medium efficiency, high efficiency, sub-efficient, high efficiency, ultra-efficient air filter. The following are introduced to China, Europe, and the United States. Three countries have a standard for the classification of air filters.

1、China

According to different filtration efficiency, China's national standards divide air filters into coarse air filters, medium efficiency air filters, high and medium efficiency air filters, sub-high efficiency air filters, high efficiency air filters, and ultra-efficient air filters. [1][2]


The national standard "Air Filter" GB/T 14295-2008 classifies the coarse-to-sub-high efficiency air filter as follows:

The national standard "High Efficiency Air Filter" GB/T 13554-2008 classifies high efficiency ~ ultra high efficiency air filters as follows:

Note: 1. The efficiency of the high-efficiency air filter is measured by the sodium flame method, and the efficiency of the ultra-high efficiency air filter is counted. 2. The resistance of the high-efficiency (ultra-efficient) air filter reaches the initial resistance of 1.5 to 2.0 times. Replace the filter. [3]

2、Europe [4]

European air filter standards are mainly EN779 (for primary-to-high-efficiency air filters) and EN1822 (for sub-efficient ~ ultra-efficient air filters).

3、United States

US air filter standards are mainly ASHRAE 52.2 (for primary to sub-high efficiency air filters) and IEST-RP (for efficient ~ ultra-efficient air filters www.rfilter.com)
